Love Spell
Ingredients:
- 1 Pink or Red Chime Candle
- Venus, Love or Passion Anointing Oil
- Ritual Carving Tool
- White Sheet of Paper (no lines)
- Red Pen or Marker
- Ribbon (or String)
- Candles for Atmosphere
This Spell can be performed during a Waxing Moon or Full Moon.
Create an atmosphere by lighting as many candles as you wish to use in your surroundings. Take a few minutes to meditate and channel your focus. Once you feel you are ready you may continue.
Next you will consecrate and anoint the (pink or red) chime candle. (Many Wiccan rituals require items used in spell-casting to be charged prior to the ritual. This can be done by bathing the items in moonlight under a full moon. However you may also verbally cleanse and consecrate an object at the same time).
To consecrate the chime candle focus your intent and purpose with as much clarity as possible. Visualize your personal energy flowing through the candle and infusing it with your own magickal empowerment. As you continue to visualize, recite a few words to cleanse, consecrate and enchant the candle. For example:
Earth my body, Water my blood,
Air my breath and Fire my spirit;
By this moon’s light
I cleanse and consecrate this candle tonight
So love and light may shine bright
So Mote It Be!
You will then use your ritual carving tool to carve a symbol that represents “love” on the candle. This symbol may simply be a heart, someone’s initials or the runic sigil for love.
Next, you will anoint the chime candle with (Venus, Love or Passion) Spell Oil. To anoint the chime candle you will use one of two methods. One method will draw energy toward you and the other method will draw energy away from you. For this spell you will want to draw positive energy toward you.
Add a small amount of (Venus, Love or Passion) Spell Oil on the finger tips of your dominant hand (you may use gloves if you wish not to touch the oil). While holding the candle with your non-dominant hand, begin at the top of the candle and rub the oil downward toward the middle and stop at the center (you may do this while slowly rotating the candle and rubbing the oil to cover all sides of the upper part of the candle). Next, start at the bottom of the candle and work towards the center. Rub the Venus (Love or Passion) Spell Oil upward, slowly rotating the candle to cover the lower half of the candle.
Now you are ready to light the chime candle.
As the candle burns, using the red marker (or pen) draw two large hearts that overlap one another at the center on a sheet of white paper. In the top-center of the paper draw the element symbol for Earth. On the right-side-center of the paper draw the element symbol for Air. On the bottom-center of the paper draw the element symbol for Fire. On the left-side-center of the paper draw the element symbol for Water.
Next, you will begin to focus and visualize the most important qualities you seek to have in your ideal lover. You will then write down at least (five) qualities (or as many as you please) on one of the hearts. Once you have completed listing your ideal partner’s qualities you will next list the strongest qualities you have to offer your lover on the second heart (at least five qualities or as many as you please). In the center where the two hearts overlap, you will write down at least (three) words (or as many as you please) that describes your ideal relationship; for example: passionate, committed, blissful, eternal…
When you have completed the task of listing all qualities for your ideal relationship you will verbalize each one as you recite the following:
May the Goddesses grant their blessing and hear these words:
**(State all the qualities you have listed
for you and your lover before continuing)
With the power of the four elements within
Pure of heart, pure of mind and pure of spirit to begin
May our souls find their way and shine bright
As two passionate spirits under the Moon’s light
So Mote It Be!
After completing the incantation you will then draw a pentagram over the two hearts using the (Venus, Love or Passion) Spell Oil and your index finger (the size of the pentagram does not matter). Begin by marking the first line of the pentagram running from North to South. Lastly, you will take the sheet of paper and fold it in half once. Then fold the sheet in half a second time. Finally, fold the sheet in half a third time. Take the burning candle and unfold the note only once, then drip a few drops of wax onto each corner of the note and refold to seal the third fold. Once the folded sheet has been sealed with wax, wrap the folded note with the ribbon (or string). Place the sealed note in a special place in your home or under your bed.
Allow the candle to continue burning on its own until extinguished.
